Rules and Policy
These are the official rules and policies for the UK Gameshows Wiki. See these below:
Editwarring
· No edit warring. Edit warring is when a fandom user publishes an edit on the UK Gameshows Fandom page, but an administrator reverts the edit back to the original, if the administrator believes it to be an appropriate reason to. If the original publisher republishes his edit, which the administrator removed, a ban will be enforced. The ban could last anywhere from 5-30 days, depending on what the site admins decide. All bans will be thoroughly discussed with all administrators on the site, before an official decision is made.
Sockpuppets
· No sockpuppet accounts. If a fandom user has been banned, but they make another fandom account under a different name, while under a ban, with intention to edit on the fandom site, therefore bypassing their ban. The account that the banned person made is known as a sockpuppet. These accounts are not tolerated under any circumstances on the UK Gameshows Wiki, and if this does happen, the persons ban will be extended or possibly be made permanent. Along with the sockpuppet account being blocked permanently.
Beauracrats, Admins etc.
· On the UK Gameshows Fandom site, there may be no more than the following rights given to active users;
- 2 Bureaucrats
- 10 Administrators
- 20 Content Moderators
Wiki Theme
· No changing the Wiki’s theme, without permission from the owner of the site. Contact Ryan (YouAreTheWeakestLinkGoodbye), to suggest a change to the Fandom site’s theme.
Wikipedia or similar web pages
· Information may be taken from Wikipedia, but must not be just cut and pasted in. You can either take some info, and type it in your own words, or, you may quote a sentence or two. Pages may not totally consist of info/cut and pasted from Wikipedia. If you create a whole page entirely from Wikipedia or add in a whole chunk of info that hasn’t been reworded, you will be banned for at least 35 days.
Inappropriate coments
- Uk Gameshows Wiki has a zero tolerance policy for comments that may be offensive to any of the wiki's users, this includes: Rude language, racism, sectarianism , sexist comments and any other inappropriate topics and/or words that the admins think is unsuitable to be included on this wiki. Any users who's comments that go against this policy will have their comment removed and face a potential ban.
